The tomb of the four prophets is one of the monument that dates back to pre-Islamic times and even to Christianity. its religious value is very important, because of the burial of four Bani Israeli prophets called "Salam", "Salom", "Sahouli" and "Akhalia" .
The four prophets monument that is a manifestation of the religious tourism of Qazvin that holds great spiritual value for the people, especially on religious occasions such as Muharam and Fatemiyeh. This historical and religious place hosts a huge number of pilgrims each year
According to historical accounts, these four prophets who had been oppressed by the people of Bani Israel for years, decided to emigrate to the interior of the Iranian plateau. It has now become clear that the purpose of the migration of the four prophets was to rid of the persecution of the people of Bani Israel and, furthermore, to bring the glad tidings of Christ to the East. Over time, the four men who lived in the same area die and are buried there with an unknown death, and this later becomes known as the Four Prophets.
Architecture of Tomb Of the Four Prophets
The Tomb of the Four Prophets is a remarkable piece of work in terms of architectural styles. The tomb of the four prophets is built on two floors. On the upper floor is a stainless steel and gold-plated adorned with gold and silver glittering Quranic verses and beautiful motifs on a symbolically installed tombstone and the lower floor is a crypt.
On theother side, one of the mirrors on the porch is inscribed in a plaster with a third line: "This sanctuary is buried with four of the great prophets of the divine name Salam, Salom, Sahul, and Ahliyah."
The four prophets' tomb is important because of the burial of four Bani Israeli prophets, namely, "Salam," "Selum," "Sahul," and "Achaliah." In addition to the four mentioned prophets, the tomb of Saleh ibn Mojtaba (AS), a descendant of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS), is also located in the same place.
Because of its location in the center of Qazvin's historical context, this monument is located near many monuments that you can visit with little walking and no car. These include the Sa’d al-Saltaneh Inn and Qazvin Historical Grand Bazaar, the Safavid Government, and Sepah Street.
