The door which remains from the pair carved doors, transferred to the Museum of Ancient Iran and a new-build door was replaced.

The dome was originally made of brick and later replaced by tile and the mogharnas around the bottom circle of the dome was repaired. The precious dome and its substructure belong to the Mongol and there is azure nastaleeq inscription circling the dome which recounts the life of Hamdollah Mostofi.

Tips and ideas

The Tomb located at the end of Malekabad Street which is near to the end of south Khayyam Street, a modern bazaar of Qazvin. After that, you can walk to one of the most ancient districts of Qazvin city in less than 10 minutes. It’s a rare combination of the modern and traditional districts of the city which can’t be found everywhere. You will be amazed at the number of the monument that placed close together.

If you want to drive there, it’s better to pass through the Bagh-e Dabir Street and park your car wherever in Mohamadie Alley. We recommend you park your car in public parking in Taleghani Street and go sightseeing without a car. You will enjoy of walking in a different historical neighborhood of the city and help yourself with baghalee (Cooked broad beans in brine, vinegar and some Heracleum persicum (aka Persian hogweed or Golpar) for more taste)and laboo (cooked beetroot in boiling water and should be served very hot), amazing Persian street foods which are really desirable in cold weather.

At the end of the spring and winter, the Taleghani Street becomes congested, in the middle of Taleghani Street there is Khayyam Street, the modern bazaar of Qazvin which the end of it leads to the Sabzeh Meydan (literally green square), the traditional grand bazaar of Qazvin that is located in the center of Qazvin. At this time, there is an amazing mood that worth experiencing. Don’t forget to have easier access to each part of Qazvin city you are able to use the map below.
