History and culture of Sadieh Bathhouse

This ancient Bath House dates back to Qajar Dynasty. People call here Sadieh Bathhouse because the bath house was built by Mohammad Baqir Khan Sa'd al-Saltaneh, the ruler of Qazvin City at the end of the Naser al-Din Shah Qajar era, and it located at the Saadat Palace Garden.

Architecture of Sadieh Bathhouse

Door of the bath house is at the north west of the Sa'd al-Saltaneh Caravanserai's court yard. After passing through the entrance door of the bath house and 90 degrees rotation, you'll reach to a 30 meters corridor where is under the chambers. This corridor has a tunnel vault (aka barrel vault or wagon vault, is an architectural element formed by the extrusion of a single curve (or pair of curves, in the case of a pointed barrel vault) along a given distance) which is an exclusive feature. If they repair the bath there are properties about it; become a museum or a hydrotherapy complex dedicated to women.

You've access to visit the bath whenever you want. It only takes a quarter of your time and then you're able to go to other Qazvin's tourist attractions. You can continue Imam Khomeini Street to the Sabzeh Meydan (literally green square) and enjoy visiting the Chehel Sotun Palace there.
