Imamzadeh Bibi-sharbano is located in Bibi-sharbano Alley, Thehran Ghadim street, Qazvin, Qazvin province.

History and culture of Imamzadeh Bibi Sharbanu

From the style and status of this building turns out that, its original core is made in the Sassanid era and it used as a tomb in the fourth century (Al-Boyeh), and some parts have been added in this period. This tomb includes a small shrine with a dimension of about 2.5 meters and its main entrance is on the east and has a portal that belongs to the Safavid Day. But the tiling vault and some of the plaster and decorations are from the Qajar dynasty.

In the southern of the shrine, there is a long and block east-west room that may have belonged to the Sassanid period. there is a mosque from Qajar dynasty in north of the building.

Architecture of Imamzadeh Bibi Sharbanu

The area of the monument is about 600 square meters and the substructure of the building is about 300 square meters, which can be used as a two-storey building for Pilgrims.

The building is made of bricks and its vault is also brick-style that on the outside, is covered with white iron. The metal Zarih is installed on the lower floor that pilgrims go there for praying.

This complex’s era is rectangular-style, 33 meters length and 22 meters wide, which is surrounded by Stone wall (belonging to Boyan and Seljuk), and to the mountains from north, and in the southern part of it, there are several stone-buildings covered by brick vault.
