Geographical location of Valiasr Intersection

It is located on the east side of the city and is one of the oldest and biggest intersections in Qazvin. It is also the most crowded intersection in the city since it is one of the main entrances from Tehran-Qazvin Highway and directly leads to the city center. This four-way intersection consists of Shahid Beheshti Blvd, Ayatollah Taleghani Blvd, Khorramshahr Blvd, and Ayatollah Khamenei Blvd crossing over each other. Its south side leads to Qazvin Bus Terminal and intercity taxi stand. Intersection’s side roads are full of old trees that perfectly represent the history of these roads and bear the very first memories of the city.

Tips and ideas

Ayatollah Khamenei Blvd leads to Minoudar Square and is filled with fast-food restaurants, cafes, ice-cream shops, and so on. Technically it is the center of food tourism, so it is filled with people until midnight; unlike other streets that darken before 10 pm, it stays alive and energetic till the witching hour. There are also many banquet halls and hotels for travelers to stay and rest. Then you can take a picnic and go west, Ayatollah Taleghani Blvd, to Ayatollah Modarres Blvd. there is one the oldest and lushest parks of Qazvin, Mellat park. On the west side of Mellat Park is a street named Shahrdari where Cantor Church is located, the smallest church in Qazvin. At the end of the street, you’ll reach Khayyam Street, the commercial center of the city, where you can find various kinds of clothes shops, stores, restaurants, and cafes.
