Geographical location of Ovan Waterfall

Ovan Waterfall is one of the popular places in Qazvin where can attract lots of tourists. This waterfall located at the northern half of the Alamut Village, the southwest of the Ovan Lake, and 75 km outside of the Qazvin.

The height of the waterfall is approximately 300 meters from the highest point of the waterfall to the depth of the valley where the river is flowing. The path of the waterfall is relatively long distanced which begins from Fish Farm in Ovan Village and will reach the Golpari Spring after 5 hours to the Ovan Waterfall.

Tips and ideas

There are several other attractions which worth seeing. Ovan Lake is among four villages; Evan, Vorben, Zovardasht, and Zarabad; even each of the villages can be fascinating too. Also, sightseeing of Alamut Castle and Chenar Khounbar Zarabad will be captivating.

We suggest you to choose a warm day to get there because the road is difficult to pass; so in the winter, the snow will make it more difficult. On sunny days you'll find a breeze to blow and a delightful rainbow in the sky.

Alamut road is circuitous and narrow, so be careful while driving. We recommend you not to drive in the winter for the first time, but if you'd like to, it's better to test the road at least two times in the spring or summer before. Remember that it's better to drive there with your friends or family and not alone, to help each other in difficulties.

You can go to each house in the village to stay for the night. By the way, light pollution is low here and it’s suitable for those who are interested in night photography.
