This building is located 10 km from the south of Takestan county in the center of the Khorramabad Village right next to a mosque. Khorramabad is a Rural District in Esfarvarin District, Takestan County, Qazvin Province, Iran.

History and culture of Historical Tower of Khorramabad

This monument was registered at Ordibehesht 12, 1377 as a national heritage of Iran and its number is 2013.

Architecture of Historical Tower of Khorramabad

This building belongs to the Safavid era. The interior environment of this building is 6 meters; the thickness of the inside's wall is 35 meters. There is a spiraling staircase with 55 cm width which leads to the upper part. In the distance of a brick, small lightwells are placed in the building exterior. The entrance of this tower is a corbel arch with 4 meters height. The corbel arch which is connected to the tower was the main factor for its firmness that had been destroyed due to building a new mosque and for this reason the tower is tilted.

There are simple decorative patterns in turquoise glazed brick on the building exterior of this tower.
