Geographical location of Ganjnameh aquarium cave
It is part of the Ganjnameh Tourist Resort Complex, Ganjnameh cultural village, in Ganjnameh Square which is five kilometers away from Hamedan City, Hamedan Province, Iran. The village has created a tourism sample in the northern slopes of the Alvand Mountains. This artificial cave has more than 1000 square meters’ area and a height of 2.5-15 m. The capacity is 85.000 liters in the main hall and it has 21 aquariums of salty and sweet waters having varying dimensions of 1x1 to 2x2.

The aquarium cave is inspired by Ali Sadr Cave and was built in 2011 by a group of Iranian and foreign engineers. Their purpose was to create a recreational place to attract more and more visitors and tourists and provide an environment for research and educational improvements.
It holds a collection of aquatic animals including various fish, stingray, starfish, etc. as well as reptiles collected from all around the world. No need to mention that it’s the biggest artificial cave in the whole country.
Architecture of Ganjnameh aquarium cave
Ganjnameh Aquarium Cave was built by Saeed Torabian and a group of Iranian and foreign engineers in organic architecture. This project, which was launched in 2011, houses a collection of rare and valuable specimens of fish, reptiles, and amphibians on two floors. This area has been built with three main halls and entrances; every corridor is filled with artificial fog and rain which has created a delicate and different atmosphere like the scent of the ocean.

Ganjnameh Aquarium Cave is located in a huge complex called Ganjnameh Tourist Recreation Village, which includes the best equipment and the most modern recreational facilities in the heart of Alvand Mountain, next to the Ganjnameh waterfall and inscriptions. In this complex, the facilities are categorized and include the pristine and beautiful nature of Alvand Mountain, Mishan Square, Takht Nader, and Ganjnameh waterfall. sports and entertainment including cable cars, sleds, bungee jumping, climbing, aquarium cave, and amusement park.
