The cave is located about five kilometers southwest of the village of Goshnehrood in the city of Roodbar in Qazvin province.

History and culture of Vali Cave

The cave, dating from the Permian and late Geological period, was formed about 250 million years ago, Vali cave was formed by the dissolution of the Ruthie Ironworks during Permian and late Geological period. This cave is known as a wet cave and it includes a main hall and several sub-halls. It's about 20 meters high and 100 meters wide. The air inside the cave is still and cold. Some evidence from the cave suggests that humans lived in the cave before.

There were very beautiful and massive stalactites in this cave which unfortunately were destroyed due their easy access.
